Per mL Dexamethasone 1 mg, neomycin sulfate 3.5 mg, polymyxin B sulfate 1.25 mg
Indications/Uses
Infectious ocular inflammations. Acute or chronic nonpurulent conjunctivitis, blepharo-conjunctivitis & keratoconjunctivitis, nonspecific superficial keratitis, deep keratitis: Acne rosacea keratitis, iridocyclitis, mild acute iritis, recurrent marginal ulceration & corneal ulcer, nonpurulent blepharitis; scleritis: Episcleritis scleroconjunctivitis; herpes zoster ophthalmicus, post-op prevention of ophthalmic cases of infections.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1-2 drops in the conjunctival sac. Severe disease May be used hrly. Mild disease May be used up to 4-6 times daily.
Contraindications
Epithelial herpes simplex keratitis; vaccinia, varicella & other viral diseases of the cornea & conjunctiva; TB of the eye; fungal disease of the ocular structures. Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Diseases causing thinning of the cornea or sclera, acute purulent infections of the eye, fungal infection. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Glaucoma w/ optic nerve damage, visual acuity & field defects, cataract formation; secondary ocular infections, perforation of the globe.
